Marc Anthony has Filed for Divorce from Jennifer Lopez

The 43-year-old singer filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
Anthony requested joint physical custody of their twins, Max and Emme, who the American Idol judge gave birth to in 2008. He is also asking a judge to deny spousal support to Lopez, 42, whom he married in 2004.
Last July, Anthony and Lopez said they were separating after seven years of marriage. They called the decision difficult, but amicable. The pair are set to perform together at the live Q’Viva show being held in Las Vegas on May 26.
I am sad about the demise for the children.  Even though I love her I think she is introducing too many different people in and out of their lives.  They should be around friends and family only during this time.  Then she could go do her thing a little without them.  Kids will suffer from this weather she marries Casper or not.  He’s only gonna be in their lives for so long and then he’ll be gone.  That’s not fair to little kids.
As busy as Jennifer is it would have been nice for her to be single during this time, if not for her at least for his kids.  They need the support more then she does, she is a grown women, they are little kids and their brains can’t process information and emotions like adults do.

Plus it would have been nice to see her date other people instead of always settling down with someone specific.  I wonder if she has low self esteem.  You never see her doing her thing alone. Even though she is so beautiful and rich and talented she cannot seem to be without a man.  Come on Jennifer don’t you want to show Emme what an INDEPENDENT WOMEN is, and let her see you don’t need a man to define her.
Just trying to say, I love you Jennifer and your Awesome, but sometimes you need to think with your head and not always your heart especially when you have children in the picture.  You need to do what’s best for her children first. That’s called being a mother. I’m Just Sayin’.

The Naked Truth

These pictures in the new Allure Magazine are beautiful. I know they say this is to highlight women today and their bodies.

I don’t look like these women and I don’t know anyone that does.
These women don’t seem to have body image problems, they are gorgeous. It would be nice to see real women, and a little (very little) airbrushing just to make the women look and feel beautiful. That would be nice to let some regular women take nude pictures and talk about their issues throughout the years with their bodies and have them look beautiful in the picture.
It’s something that the women would be able to have and look at when they want to feel like a celebrity for a day.
When your ready for a real women call me, Allure. I’m Just Sayin’.

TARAJI P. HENSON

“My friends won’t be surprised by this shoot,” Henson said. “Whenever we go to the beach, I’m like, ‘Is this a nude beach? Can I take my top off?'” With that kind of bravado, it’s no wonder that the 41-year-old Person of Interestactress isn’t afraid to parade around naked—even at her New York City home, with zero curtains on the floor-to-ceiling windows. “I know some idiot has a telescope, so I always wave,” she said. “He’s going to be pissed when I move.”

MORENA BACCARIN

After stripping down for a sex scene on Homeland, Baccarin, 32, wanted to take a more subtle approach to nudity for this shoot. “I didn’t want it to be an overload, like ‘That girl is always taking off her clothes,'” she said. “This is for the art of it. It’s beautiful.” And though she was raised in a household with a liberal, laid-back attitude towards the body (“I saw my mom in her underwear more than my friends saw theirs,” she said), she’s not quite a nudist: “I don’t do any naked activities except for the obvious ones. No cooking naked. That’s dangerous.”

LESLIE BIBB

Following an indulgent two-week vacation, Bibb, 37, went on a four-day juice cleanse to get ready for her shoot. “It was an angry four days,” says Bibb. “Sam [Rockwell, her boyfriend] was like, ‘Thank God I’m not with you right now. You are not nice on the juice cleanse.'” Luckily, prepping her skin was an easier chore, as she stopped off at a Korean spa for a body scrub pre-shoot. “Everybody’s naked there, and I don’t mind,” she said. “But I’m like a cat with a feather anytime I see a boob job. I can’t look away.”

DEBRA MESSING

At 43, Messing’s decision to pose nude came from a natural process of self-acceptance. “Once you have a child, once you pass 40, you have a different relationship with your body,” she said. “I love my body in a way I never have before.” And the parts she loves the most? “My shoulders, clavicle, and chest,” she explains. “I started out in dance—there’s something beautiful about a dancer’s upper body. I love strapless dresses.”

MARIA MENOUNOS

As a teen beauty-pageant contestant, Menounos received low swimsuit scores. “I was hippy and I didn’t diet for contests. And it didn’t bother me,” she says. The 33-year-old Extrahost has a healthy attitude about her body, but that doesn’t mean she’s comfortable getting naked. In fact, she’s so hesitant to be bare it all that she’s afraid of getting pregnant because of how much she’d have to expose. “I have some serious issues here,” she admitted. “But I want to get over that.” She looked to this photo shoot to cure to her shyness, and it may have worked: “This was definitely challenging,” she said, “but I feel so much better having done it.”

It’s Earth Day!

Earth Day was born in 1970, into a world torn by political strife and emboldened by free-spirited activism. The times were a-changin’, and an unlikely confluence of people and events led to the first Earth Day celebration on April 22, 1970.
But the seed of Earth Day was planted many years earlier, when a handful of scientists and conservationists became aware that the phenomenal post-war growth of American industry — and its attendant air and water pollution — was destroying much of the natural world.

The Environmental Movement and Earth Day

In 1962, Rachel Carson, a quiet loner from a Pennsylvania farm who became a renowned biologist and nature writer, published Silent Spring, a jeremiad against the spraying of DDT and other pesticides. By blaming their use for the widespread decimation of bird and animal populations, she is credited for giving the environmental movement its robust scientific underpinnings.
Other events in the 1960s galvanized public awareness of environmental destruction. Air pollution in Los Angeles, New York City and other urban areas had reached such dangerously high levels that human health impacts were immediate and undeniable. Population growth, the impetus for Paul Erlich’s seminal 1968 bestseller The Population Bomb, was blamed for bulldozing fields and forests to create sprawling suburbs. And in what may be the most famous eco-disaster of the decade, Ohio’s Cuyahoga River, which flowed through Cleveland and other industrial cities, caught fire in 1969 from all the hazardous wastes that were regularly dumped into it.

Gaylord Nelson and the First Earth Day

It was during this era that Senator Gaylord Nelson, a conservation-minded Democrat from Wisconsin, first proposed making environmental protection a national priority. Though in 1963 he convinced President Kennedy to go on a national “conservation tour,” little came of it politically. That same year, Nelson introduced legislation to ban DDT: not one single member of Congress joined him.
Nelson, undeterred, noticed that a number of small organizations had achieved some success in promoting environmental issues locally. Inspired by these events, and by the growing number of antiwar protests and “teach-ins” that had sprung up across the country, Nelson decided in 1969 that a single day devoted to an environmental teach-in might be the perfect way to put pollution, deforestation and other green issues at the top of the nation’s political agenda.
Speaking at a conference in Seattle in September of 1969, Nelson proposed that in the spring of 1970 there would be a coast-to-coast grassroots demonstration on behalf of environmental concerns — and in Nelson’s words, “The response was electric. It took off like gangbusters.”
People across the country had apparently been looking for an outlet to express their growing environmental consciousness. Nelson also took out a full-page ad in The New York Times in January of 1970, announcing that Earth Day would take place on Wednesday, April 22. The date was chosen because of its timing with student class schedules, warmer weather and no competing holidays.

Local Activities for Earth Day

Though Nelson helped to set up an independent organization — Environmental Teach-In, Inc., led by Denis Hayes, a student activist — to handle the flood of requests for information, the senator insisted that Earth Day be organized on the local level. This proved to be an inspired idea, as people were far more invested in issues affecting their communities and families.
April 22, 1970, dawned fair and mild, with blue skies throughout most of the country. By most estimates, some 20 million people took to the streets, vastly exceeding even the most optimistic expectations. Republicans, Democrats, school children, college students, labor unions, housewives, doctors, religious leaders, bankers, retirees, farmers and everyone in between participated in thousands of local marches, rallies, parades, protests and other “happenings.”

The History of Earth Day Resonates

The first Earth Day was deemed a blazing success. The event was front-page news almost everywhere, and coverage was overwhelmingly positive. The event cemented in people’s minds the importance of environmental issues as a community concern and an international political priority. For many participants, Earth Day marked a turning point in their lives, when reckless consumption and unfettered industrial waste suddenly came under harsh scrutiny.
Earth Day has resonated, on a personal and political level, for over 40 years. In months following that first grassroots event, the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Air Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act and dozens of other landmark pieces of legislation were passed. To a remarkable degree, Earth Day institutionalized protection for the land, air and water. And when, in 1990, Earth Day went global as an international event, the world embraced it with the same enthusiasm as Americans did in 1970.
For his unceasing devotion to the green movement and other social and environmental causes, Sen. Nelson — who passed away in 2005 — was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
This is probably the worst rap around, but it’s full of important Earth Day reminders for all of us.

The images, shared by Rihanna’s best friend Melissa Forde, show the singer sending a text message on her mobile phone, apparently unaware that the shots were being taken.

These latest shots of Rihanna came as the singer last night headed out on a ‘date night’ with Melissa – sparking rumours they may be more than just friends.

The 24-year-old singer and her BFF went for dinner in Santa Monica wearing a plain sleeveless white shirt dress, livened up with a pair of sexy suspender tights.

Olive Garden accidentally serves rum to a 10-year-old boy in Indianapolis

A family outing to an Olive Garden in Indianapolis turned into a brief horror show this week after the restaurant accidentally served their 10-year-old son an alcoholic drink.
The boy was taken to the hospital on Thursday.
The child–who has not been indenified– had ordered a non-alcoholic Frullato Smoothie, but the waitress mistakenly brought him a 4-ounce cocktail, WISH-TV reported.
After realizing the error, the waitress told the restaurant’s management, which informed the boy’s parents.
The parents took their son to a local hospital, where tests revealed alcohol in his system. A police officer at the hospital described the boy as “alert” but “shaken up,” according to the local television station.

Schauer added that the restaurant has fired the waitress who tendered the liquor-laden drink.

The Italian-themed eatery also made headlines last year after one of its restaurants in Florida inadvertently served sangria to a toddler.

Museum Of Racist Memorabilia Opens In Michigan [PHOTOS]

Michigan has become the latest state to introduce a museum chronicling racism in America. The Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia, in Big Rapids, Mich. features a host of artifacts large and small. According to curator, David Pilgrim, the $1.3 million gallery holds the largest number of historical antiques from the segregation era, including everything from an ashtray to a life-sized replica of a lynching tree. But contrary to criticism sure to arise, the assortment is not “a shrine to racism” and is “all about teaching.”
Pilgrim founded the museum, which resides at Ferris State University, in an attempt to incite deep thought among all races. A former sociology professor and current vice president of diversity at the school, Pilgrim began collecting the items in the ’70s. Over the next two decades he amassed a 2,000-piece collection, which he donated to the university in 1996.
For the last 15 years the collection has lived in an appointment-only room, before financial support from the university, and other donors, allowed for expansion. The museum now holds 9,000 pieces of  “anti-black caricatures, everyday objects” and “segregationist memorabilia,” most of which are housed in 3,500 square-foot unit beneath on the lower level of the school’s library.
Today, the school has 9,000 pieces that depict African-Americans in stereotypical ways and, in some cases, glorify violence against them.

Not all of the museum’s holdings are on display, but the 3,500-square-foot space in the lower level of the university library is packed with items that demonstrate how racist ideas and anti-black images dominated American culture for decades.
