She is known for her love of all things latex when it comes to her onstage outfits.

And once again Katy Perry opted for tight PVC as she wowed the crowd in Dubai by dressing as a superhero in blue stockings on Saturday night.

The 28-year-old was performing at the World Parachuting Championships Closing Ceremony in the United Arab Emirates.

Like she has done several times in the past, the pop star decided to dress for the theme.

Katy’s racy outfit featured shoulder-detailing in the design of tiny sparkling and multi-colored  balloons.

Emblazoned across her brightly printed ensemble were also the words ‘wow’, ‘pop’ and ‘wham’; a nod to the comic book theme.

The I Kissed A Girl star slipped on a pair of light blue stockings which were held up by bright orange suspenders.

This time Katy forewent a pair of sky-high heels, instead jumping around onstage in a pair of leather brogues.

Earlier at the start of her performance, the raven-haired star had on a parachute-style jumpsuit in a similar print as she moved alongside her back-up dancers.

But it wasn’t too long before she ripped it off to reveal her sexy ensemble underneath.

Katy has plenty to celebrate at the moment as she was just nominated for a Grammy award.

The singer was nominated in the Best Pop Solo Performance category for her hit song Wide Awake.

She was also recently named Billboard’s Woman of the Year.

Katy, who turned 28 on October 25, told Billboard: ‘I’m glad I’m still alive-27 has been a very testing year.’

The reigning pop princess opened up to Billboard in an interview that accompanies her recent cover.

She told the magazine she was blindsided by the plaudit, she said: ‘I’d thought my year was over, that it was time to pass the baton.

‘But I guess I get to hold onto it until the end of the year [laughs]. It’s truly a lovely compliment, seeing who has been honored in the past-Beyonce’, Taylor Swift and others-I’m in good company.’
She also brushed off their assertion that she’s a role model, she said: ‘I’d like to change the phrase ‘role model’ to ‘inspiration.’

‘Role model’ puts you on a pedestal that no one can really live up to. For me, aspiring to be an artist at a young age, I didn’t think about being a role model.

‘But I definitely thought about being an inspiration. So I hope that I am an inspiration, especially with my work ethic and my ability to overcome obstacles.’

She also added: ‘I feel I’m in the same position I was in after I made the first record. I toured [on] that and then made the second record and toured that. Now I’m at an in-between position again.

‘But I’m not scared or feeling uncertain. It’s still about coming from a very honest place to reconnect with my core.’
Perry released Teenage Dream in 2010, and the double platinum album sparked five No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart that spilled over to 2011. She tied the record Michael Jackson set with Thriller for most hits from a single album.

She re-released the album this year, which launched two more hits and a top-grossing 3-D film.
