Katy Perry was decked out in patriotic stars and stripes for Saturday’s Kids’ Inaugural Concert, which honored military families and helped celebrate four more years of Barack Obama at the White House.
The spunky singer headlined the show and belted out four of her biggest family friendly hits at the packed Washington Convention Center. The venue was filled with kids whose parents are in the military, along with Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia in the front row. So, it wasn’t exactly the event for singing about “skinny dipping in the dark” or waking up in Vegas. Perry instead stuck to the G-rated “Teenage Dream,” “Wide Awake,” “Part of Me,” and finished up with “Firework.”
