In the clip, Deen appears visibly upset and at times close to tears. “I beg for your forgiveness … please forgive me for the mistakes that I’ve made,” she said.
The apology, which looks to have been filmed in multiple takes, comes the same day as a cancelled appearance on the “Today” show, where she was expected to address the allegations of racism leveled against her.

UPDATE 6/22, 12:15 P.M.: More information has come to light explaining the multiple apology videos. CNN writes that, according to Deen’s public relations manager, Deen was unsatisfied with the first video because its message was not what she wanted to say.
“She picked up her own handi-cam and recorded it herself without a production team present,” said Juda Engelmayer, the senior vice president of 5W Public Relations.
