It has long been rumoured that Britney Spears will take up a residency at Las Vegas as a star headliner.
And now reports that suggest that the Ooh La La singer is ready to roll as she has informed a judge handling her conservatorship that she’ll begin her residency at Planet Hollywood later this year.
Britney, 31, went before LA judge Reva Goetz to talk about the deal with Caesar Entertainment on Monday, Radar reports.
The meeting is said to have lasted 45 minutes where the mother of two told the judge ‘how excited she was to be peforming in Las Vegas’ according to a source.
‘The plan is for Britney to begin the shows around New Years Eve, with a huge concert on the last night of the year,’ their source added.
The judge is said to have been impressed with how happy and excited Britney was during the meeting and a deal is expected to be signed on the residency next week.

Britney has been under the conservatorship since her her public meltdown in 2008 when she lost control of her personal and financial affairs.
Following her breakdown a group of people, including her father and several attorneys took control of her finances as well as certain aspects of her life.
The conservatorship was made permanent but Britney is now in the process of petitioning to have the legal measure removed.
At the time the Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz said she was granted the permanent conservatorship in part because Britney had shown she was ‘susceptible to undue influence’.
As well as her upcoming Vegas stint, Britney is also currently working on her next studio album.
Among the exciting collaborations for the record is songwriter Sia Furler – who penned the Christina Aguilera track Blank Page.
